Expected Conduct
Server Rules

These rules apply to all players at all times, both in-game and in the Discord. They exist to keep Destiny Playground a good place to play. Breaking them results in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal depending on severity.

You can view the rules in-game at any time. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Destiny Playground is an inclusive and diverse space. Hate speech, discrimination, slurs, and targeted abuse against any person or group - based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or anything else - is absolutely not acceptable here. There are no second chances. Anyone using hate speech will be permanently banned, no exceptions and no appeals.

Respect Everyone
Treat all players, staff, and community members with basic respect. Harassment, targeted abuse, and deliberate attempts to make others uncomfortable are not tolerated. Disagreements happen - handle them like an adult. If something is bothering you, raise it calmly through the Discord.

No Cheating or Bug Abuse
Hacked clients and cheat software are banned outright. Bugs are part of any server - some might even be fun - but deliberately abusing bugs to gain an unfair advantage over other players or the intended experience is bannable with no exceptions. If you find a bug, report it to the Discord immediately via the proper channels. This is the only way we can fix issues - if you tell a friend instead of reporting it, it won't be tracked, may not reach the right people, and may be forgotten. It takes very little time to report properly and it genuinely improves the experience for everyone. Bugs are our number one priority to fix, and we have a support team ready to help.

No Story Spoilers
For at least the first month after any story content releases, treat all story spoilers as serious. After that period, use common sense - if you're not sure, use spoiler tags in Discord. In Minecraft, if you can see someone progressing the story, don't ruin it for them. Intentional spoiling within the protection period will be treated seriously.

Keep Chat Respectful
Minimal profanity is acceptable - just be aware of those around you and keep it reasonable. Spamming, flooding chat, and in-game advertisements are not welcome. No NSFW content in any form, anywhere. Keep it on-topic and readable. This is a shared space.

No Malicious Impersonation
Do not impersonate staff, other players, or the Destiny Playground team with the intent to deceive or cause harm. This includes usernames, skins, or behaviour designed to mislead others into thinking you are someone you're not.

No AI-Generated Content
Do not share or pass off AI-generated text, images, or other content as your own work within the community. This applies to Discord, in-game, and any community spaces associated with Destiny Playground.

Protect Personal Information
Do not share your own or anyone else's personal information in any community space. Stay safe online. This includes real names, locations, contact details, and anything that could identify someone outside the game.

Respect the Experience
Don't deliberately ruin the experience for others - this includes trapping players, killing new players repeatedly without cause, or otherwise being a nuisance. There is no building in this server, so traditional griefing doesn't apply, but the spirit of the rule does. Be a decent player.

Follow Platform Rules
You are also bound by Minecraft's and Discord's own terms of service and community guidelines while using this server and its associated spaces. Violations of platform rules are violations here too.

Follow Staff Instructions
Staff decisions are final in the moment. If you disagree, raise it calmly through proper channels afterward - not by arguing in chat or ignoring instructions. Staff are volunteers giving their time to make this work.

Destiny Playground is an independent fan-made server. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Bungie, Inc., Mojang Studios, or Microsoft in any way. Destiny, Minecraft, and all related names remain the property of their respective owners.

Progress is Saved Per Player
Your character, inventory, quest progress, and lore unlocks are saved server-side and tied to your Minecraft account. Switching accounts means starting over.

For the most up-to-date announcements, patch notes, downtime warnings, and community news, the Discord is always first. The website follows but the Discord is faster.

Content Releases are Unscheduled
This is a hobby project. Content is released in seasons but not on a strict professional cadence - at times releases may slow down or be unscheduled. We'll always communicate in the Discord when things change. Your patience means a lot.

Mods are Optional
The server runs entirely on plugins - you can play vanilla with zero mods installed. Official modpacks are available for performance and visual improvements. See the Getting Started page.

Our support team will always do their best to help, but we cannot guarantee we'll be able to solve every issue. There are many things that can cause technical problems - hardware, software, network configurations - and outside of the server itself, we simply don't have the tools to diagnose every possibility. If we do identify a known hardware or software conflict, we'll keep a note of it for the community. The best place to get help is always #support on Discord.
